San Pedro de Atacama

Peaceful little town

Bright blue, fluffy-clouded skies

Cool, torchlit nights

We had a great time in San Pedro, exploring the town and going on excursions. When it was time to go, we made our way to the airport, but once there we weren’t sure where exactly we needed to go, so I asked the very nice lady at the airport help desk, “Donde necesitamos a ir para encontrar los gatos?”

… which means, “Where do we need to go to find the cats?”

Sometimes changing the pronunciation and adding an “o” works; sometimes it doesn’t.

I will forever from now remember that “gates” = “puertas.” Spanish lesson of the day.
